Dear Tony, I'm so very sorry to hear the latest news. We've never met but, like thousands of others, I feel I know you. You are a truly remarkable man. I say that not just because of what you have contributed to the game we all love (though your achievements are amazing) but also because of the way you have done it. In a sport too often dominated by big bucks and bigger egos, you have quietly and unassumingly built THE football website; one that puts all other football sites in the shade. And you've done it on limited resources and with precious little assistance from the football 'authorities', some of whom, I know, have been downright obstructive. It's an incredible achievement. Reading your health 'blog' over the past few months, it seems to me that you've shown the same persistence, determination and positive attitude in the way you've battled this dreadful disease.
