Re: Not Good News

Dear Tony, I have only just found out about your illness. I lost my wife of 37 years in January 2007 after an 18 month brave battle with pancreatic cancer. I have been very fortunate in meeting another lovely lady and we were married last August. I can understand and sympathise with the thoughts that must be going through the minds of both yourself and your wife. The Chemo really does make a difference, because pancreatic cancer is about the most lethal and Marion, my late wife, would probably have lasted only a few weeks without that treatment - and she packed a lot of things into that 18 months, such as holidays abroad etc. I hope that this will give you some encouragement and hope for the future. The best medicine seems to be to be positive and enjoy your life to the full. Thank you for running the website for all us football fans. All the best Malcolm Harrison (Gills and Salisbury fan)
